What is Apollo Audio?
Based in Philadelphia, PA, Apollo Audio is an online music promotion company, providing free, zero-cache, full album previews, digital distribution and vinyl services.. The streams are presented using a proprietary Macromedia Flash [ available to 99% of internet users ] application. There are no 3rd party applications to install, and no subscription service to sign up for.

Why are some releases not available for sale?
Due to various predefined contractorial obligations, some artists and labels are not allowed to use Apollo Audio as a digital distribution channel.

Why are you not using PayPal for payments anymore?
We agree that using the PayPal gateway is not only convenient, but safe, and has served Apollo Audio well since 2005. We are planning to include the payment system in Apollo Audio by the end of 2009.

Do you use advertising?
No. Unless we are working with a partner website where we have no control over this matter, our plans are to not going to add any sort of 3rd party advertising to the Apollo Audio website or player, as we feel it is an intrusion to the music.

Does Apollo sell CDs or vinyl?
Apollo Audio does not sell CDs from the website, however we do provide a link to the destination requested by the artist/label if that medium is available for sale, without taking a commission. With the inception of this website Apollo Audio has begun to sell vinyl through our Apollo Vinyl section. If you are interested in selling your vinyl on Apollo Audio, please review our Vinyl Services page for options.

Do I need to install any software?
No. However, unless you have a computer that doesnt come with the Macromedia Flash player, you can download and install it here. 99% of all internet enabled browsers have the Flash player installed, so there's a really good chance you won't have to install anything in order to listen.

How can my band / label / media website use the Apollo Audio service?
If you are band, please send us your myspace or other streaming examples via our contact form for review. Please do not email us mp3s. You should also read the Apollo Audio submisson guidelines before sending us your music. Labels, distributors and online media outlets, please contact us via our contact page and we'll be happy to contact you to discuss your catalog and how you would like to use Apollo Audio.

Is my information safe with Apollo Audio?
Apollo Audio understands how valuable your personal information is. We will not trade, redistribute or sell your information to any 3rd parties. Your credit card information is not stored on the website, and your email address will be used as your login to the website, and to keep you informed of upcoming releases and Apollo Audio activities, and to provide you with information direct from our trusted partners. When I click on an album cover, the player doesn't appear?
Frist, please make sure you have your popup blocker software set to "off," or accept the warning if you receive one from your browser. If you are experiencing other issues, please contact us with a short description of your problem and we'll be happy to help.

Why are you resizing my browser window?
We feel the interface is less obtrusive to your normal browsing experience if the player is wrapped in a tight browser window. The player will still work if you wish to resize your browser.

The player isn't working at all?
Make sure you have the latest version of the Flash plugin. You can verify both your Flash and Shockwave plugin installations here. Re-installations of the plugins usually take care of most issues. Please contact us if you are still having issues and we'll be happy to help.

The audio skips when it is streaming?
Please make sure you are listening using a high speed internet connection [ cable/DSL ]. Some skipping is normal, due to the local performance of your computer and may happen from time to time. Please contact us if you are still having issues and we'll be happy to help.

I am having a problem downloading the album that I purchased, what do I do?
Please contact us with your order ID#, found in the email receipt you should have received when purchasing.
